Verimatrix (News - Alert), a company specializing in software-based security solutions, revealed its plan to host a series of regionally focused forums in 2012 that highlight next-generation video offerings.

"Operators are faced with many decisions when rolling out multi-network services. We saw an opportunity to use current deployments as a foundation for discussion at these events, as well as provide an agenda that will be interactive and stimulating for operators contemplating advanced services," Steve Oetegenn (News - Alert), chief sales and marketing officer at Verimatrix said in a press release.

The focus of the forum series is Multi-network Solutions in the Real World. This forum will include discussions and debate on the technology and business trade-offs, and also few implementation decisions made by operators, which, according to the company is believed to be valuable for those currently considering or already planning their multi-network roll-outs.

Each of these events will feature tailored operator and vendor presentations that illustrate the market drivers and decisions that have powered successful deployments. Verimatrix will also collaborate with key members of its diverse partner ecosystem, to help illustrate key enablers for commercial video delivery over combinations of managed networks that includes: cable and satellite, IPTV (News - Alert), and terrestrial and unmanaged networks including; and Internet-centric OTT services.

The first of these forum presentations was delivered at CSTB 2012, a professional event that covers all the current trends in television and telecommunication technologies.  Verimatrix co-sponsored the IP&TV Forum session along with Netris. Alexandre Guitine, senior director, Russia/CIS and Eastern Europe, presented, "Converging IPTV & OTT: Creating a Multi-Network Security Solution," that focused on unifying the consumer's multi-screen experience across networks and devices.

The Multi-network Solutions in the Real World forums are co-located with other leading video industry tradeshows including CABSAT, ABU, IP&TV World Forum, SCAT CATV Digitisation Workshop, NAB and Connected TV World Summit.
