Thanks to Azuki Media Platform's ability to deliver any content to any device over any network, Azuki Systems (News - Alert) extended its lead in the addressable market for OTT video on connected devices by announcing support for over-the-top (OTT) video delivery to gaming consoles, smart TVs and OTT- enabled set top boxes.
Coupled with its existing support for tablets, smartphones, desktops and PCs, Azuki claims to be the only company to support carrier-class OTT optimized video on all screens and devices.
“This is a huge advantage for any media company, enterprise or service provider that is looking to drive new revenue streams and improve customer satisfaction,” said John Clancy, president and CEO of Azuki Systems, in a statement.
Clancy stated that the Azuki Media Platform enhanced the power of OTT delivery with quality, scalability, and security to the broadest set of devices quite unlike first generation OTT offerings that were incomplete and slow to market.
The Azuki Media Platform enables well known media companies, service providers and mobile operators to combine the power of over-the-top delivery with the highest quality of user experience, content protection, scale and reliability.
Positioned well to provide a consistent user experience across any screen and across all devices, Azuki enables companies to deploy a highly scalable OTT solution in under three months and enables them to
implement multiple monetization schemes and capture real-time statistics from every device.
Greg Ireland, consumer video analyst with IDC (News - Alert) spoke of the future outlook for OTT video and said,. “Companies are challenged to find a secure and scalable way to deliver high-quality video to these powerful devices and keep up with consumer demand. There’s a clear market need to simplify and provide consistent user experiences across all the OTT devices.”
In other news, Azuki Systems recently announced that HBO has chosen the Azuki Wireless Platform to manage and unify end-to-end workflow for preparing, protecting, and packaging HBO GO content to iPhones, iPads, and select Android (News - Alert) smartphone mobile devices.
