Magor Communications
unveiled a new member of their TeleCollaboration HDWorkPlace family, HDSolo.
HDSolo is claimed by the company to be the ideal choice for people who need to frequently communicate and collaborate with colleagues, partners, suppliers and customers. HDSolo can be used from the comfort and convenience of the user’s own personal workspace.
The new solution delivers end user features like HD 1080p resolution video conferencing and advanced collaboration capabilities at 30 frames per second, or “FPS,” enables video interactions that mirror in-person interactions and incorporates collaboration content into the visual experience.
Users can utilize it to incorporate non-computer-based materials, such as whiteboards, flip charts, books, physical objects and paper drawings, into collaboration sessions. The MyView feature allows user to view and quickly switch between video and collaboration windows no matter who is speaking and allows user to move and resize video and collaboration windows in real time and to pan and zoom images to suit their needs and preferences so that they are not restricted to a default setup. This facility can extend the collaboration capabilities to non-video participants as well.
Magor has claimed that HDSolo can operate in a peer-to-peer architecture, eliminating the need for a multipoint control unit, or “MCU,” and can employ sophisticated bandwidth management techniques to protect the network from the effects of video traffic and interoperates with other vendors’ systems while preserving all Magor video, audio and collaboration capabilities.
Ken Davison, VP of Marketing for Magor Communications has said that by giving end users complete control over their own individual visual and collaborative experience, HDSolo delivers comprehensive, fulfilling tele-collaboration sessions on a single screen. This format helps workers at all levels of an organization be more productive while strengthening relationships with colleagues, partners and customers.
Some of the key system components of HDSolo are: HDSystemSoftware; an enterprise-grade server; a 1080p resolution 46-inch video screen, other size monitors are also available; a 1080p Ethernet-based camera; an Audio Tabletop Unit; and an integrated cabinet.
